Agnes

Agnes is Mind One’s data assistant. It answers questions about your workspaces, groups, sheets and value lists, and takes you straight to what it’s talking about.

Open it with the floating button in the bottom-right corner or with ⌘/Ctrl + Shift + K.

What it can do

  • Find and explain your data: which sheets exist, what fields they have, where a specific account is.
  • Calculate over the whole sheet: maximums, minimums, totals, averages and rankings — not just over the page you’re viewing.
  • Read a file you upload (.xlsx or .csv) and answer questions about it within the conversation.
  • Help you with data work: modeling, quality, metrics, formulas or how to prepare a file before importing it.
  • Take you to where the data is: its answers link to the relevant sheet or workspace.

What it does NOT do

  • It doesn’t modify data. Today it only queries; to change something, it tells you how to do it in the application.
  • It doesn’t leave your organization. It only sees the data of the tenant you have selected, and only what your user has access to: Agnes inherits your permissions, it doesn’t expand them.
  • It doesn’t make up figures. Every number comes from a query run within that conversation, and it cites which sheet it came from. If it can’t query it, it says so.
  • It doesn’t follow instructions embedded in the data. If a cell or an uploaded file contains something that looks like a command, it’s treated as data, not as an instruction.

Queries included per plan

Every response from Agnes counts as one query. The quota is monthly, shared across every user in the organization, and resets on the 1st of each month.

Worth knowing:

  • During the trial period the assistant is always available, even if the chosen plan doesn’t include it, so you can evaluate it.
  • Only answered responses are deducted. If a query fails or falls outside the assistant’s scope, it doesn’t consume the quota.
  • Once exhausted, Agnes says so clearly and the rest of the platform keeps working normally.
  • A very long conversation can hit its own context limit; if that happens, just open a new one from the button in the header.

History and conversation control

  • History: the clock button in the header lists your previous conversations; opening one continues the chat where you left off.
  • Stop: while Agnes is responding, the send button turns into a stop button. What’s already written is kept.
  • New conversation: the sheet-with-a-+ button starts fresh, with no previous context.

Frequently asked questions

Can Agnes see other customers’ data? No. It works exclusively within the connected organization, and within it, only with what your user can see.

Why is it sometimes slow? When a question requires going through several sheets, Agnes chains multiple queries before answering. Narrowing the question down (naming the sheet or workspace) is usually noticeably faster.

Can I turn it off for my organization? Yes. It’s a plan feature: the assistant can be turned off entirely from plan administration.
